Celebrating Our Partnership with EcoFriendly Foods
For our new friends as well as those who have been part of this journey with us for a while, we would like to take a moment to explain the interconnected relationship between Patches of Earth and EcoFriendly Foods. In 2003, EcoFriendly Foods established the first multi-species USDA-inspected processing facility. This initiative enables us to maintain full control over the safety and quality of our meats, as well as ensure the well-being of the animals that are so thoughtfully and humanely raised by our network of small, local farmers.
Patches of Earth: Connecting Local Farmers and Eaters
Patches of Earth was then born as a bridge to expand the reach and connection between local farmers and involved eaters. Through an online retail platform, digital presence and logistics management, Patches of Earth enables us to share the intentionally raised products to a much wider community. By providing involved eaters access to the food they desire and offering farmers a streamlined way to market their goods, we are cultivating resilient local food systems that nourish our nation while being kind to our planet.

As we pursue our mission for Patches of Earth to function as a wellness company dedicated to plants, animals, and people, it is essential to reflect on the foundational well-being of animals that Eco Friendly Foods enables us to support. Our Story
Jen Gagnon and Bev Eggleston have spent decades bringing the best local products to chefs and eaters from NYC to Charleston. Jen and Bev have found that our customers, "Involved Eaters", need an easy way to find and buy from “Passionate Farmers”.
In an era where the industrial agriculture system in the U.S. contributes to problematic supply chain issues, burdening local farmers and thus producing poisonous foods, we created Patches of Earth to solve these problems.
